I am a journalist and storyteller based in Vermont.
I have lived and worked in a half-dozen countries, writing news, features and profiles as a correspondent for Reuters and Dow Jones News Service and as a freelance journalist. My articles have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Miami Herald, Newsday, The Financial Times, The Wilson Quarterly, Art & Antiques Magazine and Narratively.com, among others. I have an MA in Narrative Nonfiction from City University, London. A condensed version of my thesis was published by Narratively.
Living in Britain for several decades, I worked as a visiting lecturer at Roehampton and Middlesex Universities in London, teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in journalism and narrative non-fiction writing. On returning to Vermont in 2018, I co-founded The Story Project, a writing and design service creating tailor-made books for clients.
